The North East & Cumbria Learning Disability Network are working with stakeholders across the North East North Cumbria around epilepsy improvement, as the work progresses this page will be updated.

SUDEP Action have developed a range of resources for people with a learning disability and their families to reduce epilepsy risks. They have developed the short film here. The link below also takes you to the resources they have developed.

Coming soon: ‘Be Epilepsy Aware’

We are working in Partnership with Epilepsy Action to design and develop an accessible ‘Be Epilepsy Aware’ course that will delivered either online or face to face. This will be co-produced. The course will provide accessible epilepsy awareness education to empower people with a learning disability to better understand and live well with epilepsy. This exciting new course will be launched in October 2024.
